Mumbai, (IANS). After playing many memorable characters in a film career spanning over four decades, actor Satish Kaushik is excited to embark on a new journey and a role that he has never played on screen before. Playing the role of a judge for the first time in Arbaaz Khan’s production ‘Patna Shukla’, the veteran and successful filmmaker has started shooting in Bhopal for the film directed by Vivek Budakoti, starring Raveena Tandon, Anushka Kaushik, Jatin Goswami, There are also Manavvij and Chandan Roy Sanyal.
Satish Kaushik told, “I am playing the role of a judge for the first time in my career. Although my character – Arun Kumar Jha is a respected judge, and a slave to Jodu. It’s such a quirky role. Who would have thought that Raveena Tandon’s character is not fit to be a lawyer, but he appreciates her when she fights for a good cause. It’s a very nice, lovable character who is vital to the script and takes the narrative forward. We are currently shooting for the film in Bhopal in such pleasant weather.”
The veteran actor will be sharing screen space with Raveena Tandon after a long time.
“We have done some successful films together in the past including ‘Pardesi Babu’, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Rajaji’, ‘Aunty No. 1’ and ‘Gharwali Baharwali’. I call him Raveenay and he I am called Satish because of the love and respect we have for each other. I am very excited to work with him again in ‘Patna Shukla’.”
These days Satish is shooting for Arbaaz Khan’s ‘Patna Shukla’ and Salman Khan Production’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.
